Every sled I own has hand and thumbwarmers ,make sure they have a low setting because on High thet can get to hot even through heavy gloves or mits.
I installed a Aftermarket set on a sled once, the instuctions where easy to follow,it was not a hard job at all.

Use that trick on the atvs and bikes.

Good idea to make sure you're wife isn't home when you do that.

I installed a set of Kimpex hand and thumb warmers on mine. Like you I liked my current grips and didn't want to replace them. I got the ones that adhere under your grips.
Very happy with them. The also came with some nice switches. Round plastic rocker switches. Look very factory. More factory then factory switches in fact.

To get your old grips off without destroying them, use an air compressor with the blow gun attached. Place it unter the throttle end of the grip and pull outward as you give it air. She will slide right off.

The hairspray trick sounds like it would work well for putting them back on. I used waterless hand sanitizer since it's mostly alcohol and would evaporate. But the hairspray thing sounds like a winner.

Just don't have any flame around when using hair spray. We use it in a spud gun we made and it is highly flamable.

If you get the Symtec's just remember to pay attention to the one step which says to put the grips in hot water for a bit prior to installing...This makes them more pliable and easier to slide on...Try not to stop as you are pushing them on as you might have a hard time getting going again...Hope this helps...
