I had an HPD pipe, but never used it, and sent it back and got a cheaper, prettier, DG pipe. All pipes probably give 6-8 hp, some meor, some less, and the only thing you'll probably hate is at full throttle people will think your harvesting the forest because the damn thing will sound like a chainsaw. I noticed w/ just a pipe and uni filter(before I got the hpd clutch kit installed) my Tblazer would wheelie up alot easier, bog less, and have a stronger seat-of-the-pants pull to it. Get the pipe, than definitely get a clutch kit. The springs and weights change makes a BIG difference, especially w/ a pipe.

My neighbor put the HPD pipe, MTD muffler and clutch kit on his T'Blazer. It made quite a difference. The MTD muffler is quieter than the standard one. It is well worth the money.

I just installed mine ( see thread HPD clutch kit )

I put on the MTD nickle muffler and will test it out today (was too late last night when I finished)

I got an HPD Pipe and Clutch kit and wanted it to look nice so i got the nickel plated pipe. It looks really nice and has not had a spec of rust on it yet. Power gains are great. Would definetly recommend it to anyone.

Well took the TBlazer for a short ride down the street (can't wait till the weekend when I can get it in some dirt)

What a difference! The sound of the MTD muffler is sweet. It really sounds like a 2-stroke now. It's not too loud (even though they don't regulate silencers where I ride).

The pull and top speed is quicker. I did notice that off idle it takes slightly more RPM before the clutch engages (is this normal? , it would seem so after seeing the new springs) but once it grabs it feels a whole lot better than stock.

I'm very happy with the look, fit and performance of HPD's products.

OneDollar:

It will engage higher now. You also might find out than it will not go in reverse unless you hold in the reverse limiter too.

Yea, I did notice that about reverse. I always use the button anyway. Well I guess I got it put back together right then . Might want to bypass the yellow button now as described by some other member in past threads.

I don't know about that. I don't think I would want to run it with just a straight pipe anyway, would be way too loud.
