Default which has best perf gains

Which slip-on ( hotseat or aaen) has best gains without being obnoxiously loud?

I agree clutching is the way to go. All slip ons do is make em louder.

The only slip on the makes good power is the old White Bros and it is very had to find. The Aaen makes good power too but is very loud even with the spark arrestor

My theory on more gain in torque/power is get a bigger muschine, well other than a clutch job.

Bigger is not ALWAYS better.A dialed in clutch on a 400 or 500 will do just as good in most cases as a 700 or 800.

It's an 07 sportsman 500, sport/utility clutch kit(epi),k&n filter, And I have a white bros(pure polaris) slip on for an 800 I got for $100 used at dealership. I've repacked and it's so damn loud . I'm sure it's not trail legal, a warden was eyeballing me when I went by him barely on the gas. As far as my clutch kit goes I think I need a red spring(says epi chad) b/c when taking off it seems to take a lot of rpm's b4 it starts moving w/ 27'' mudlites. Also doesn't seem to upshift without letting up on throttle a little then I can get back into it and it'll upshift.

I just put a hot seat performance pipe on my 07 500 and very pleased with it. Here's a link I posted about it. http://forums.atvconnection.com/pola...sp500-efi.html If you get one of these be sure to let them know if you have a rear bumper installed. With bumper will require the 90 degree tip vs. the 45 degree tip to avoid burning the coating off the bumper, not to mention it will echo something terrible.

You do have a solid end cap and at least 6 defuser disc in your WB pipe dont you?
I run 8disc on my highly modded 500 Scrambler and it isnt that loud.
