Of all the things I've lost in life, I think I miss my mind the most!
Depends on your area somewhat. I personally plow with my truck and charge by the hour. $65 per hour $20 minimum even if it only takes 5 min. If I were to plow with my sportsman I'd probably charge the same, although it would take much longer to do the same job.

An ATV will take about twice as long or longer to plow the same driveway, especially if the snow is significant. It wouldn't be fair to charge the same hourly rates.
With that said, you can do it for nothing either. I'm guessing around $25 if the driveway is paved, and you can do it in around a half hour. I guy with a truck that is bonded and insured is going to have to charge more.

My neighbors still havnt introduced themselves to me since I moved into the neighborhood 2 months ago, I cant wait to plow my driveway with my 850 while they have boarderline heart-attacks when shoveling or snowblowing...

Ride like you own it, Not like it's stolen!
I paid $7200 each Canadian for my Sportsman 450 back in 2006, And I still can't see me plowing snow with them yet. I think it is too much wear and tear for the gain. I still use my 10 H.P 28 " cut Sears walk-behind.
I do like the idea of the 48" snowblower for the front of the Quad with it's own 10-12 H.P motor to run the blower.
That is what I will invest in when the walk-behind gone.

I'd say that plowing is the one thing I do that would be the least wear and tear on my 800 X2...if you're afraid to plow with yours, what do you actually do with it?

Some guys buy them just to ride... nothing wrong with that either. Originally Posted by bad87gn

I agree though... plowing a couple of driveways once in a while shouldn't hurt the ATV if the plowing is done correctly. Both my son and I have been plowing with ATV's for years. I know he plowed 7 or 8 years with his old 300 King, and it never hurt it. He sold it, and it's still running... of course, that's a King.
