After your done spending on performance mods it may of been easier and cheaper to of bought the 850 instead.

I'm not looking to gain 850 power only to get the power lost with the larger tires back....

You will get more power back from a clutch kit than a pipe, you need to reclutch to take advantage of a good pipe anyway, so having the clutch done first will allow you to quickly retune later when you add a pipe, as funds allow. going from 25 to 27 inch tires will definately require clutching anyway, so spend your money there to get the power back you lose on big tires, then go for the exhaust later.

I didnt realize they came stock with 26", but if the 27s are deep lugged and wider and heavier, a clutch kit will still be your best bet for power/ money invested. A good exhaust can easily run 250-400 depending on brand and type, the cheap ones are just noise, don't waste your money on a 150 buck 'race" muffler that just makes you loud.

Agreed 100% You will notice a bigger difference by clutching for the bigger tires more then just adding a pipe.

All this being said, keep in mind "Clutching" does not make power. It only allows the engine to go to a higher RPM range before the clutch/belt engages. Kinda like a high stall torque convertor does in a car.

I agree with Mongrol. A big tire clutch kit will give you more snap on the low end but take a few mph off the top. Well worth it thouh IMO and EPI kits have always worked well for me.
