Any Help Would Be Great Electrical Problem
#1
04 700 efi sportsman late addition with no spark here is what I got and very confused.
My Manual I have is showing a late o4 but the fly wheel coil and cdi is totally diffent on mine.
I have good ground with good ohms.
ETC Switch good
Kill Switch Good
Stator Ohms Out
Now on the stator cover there is a magnetic ball (I cant find a part listing at all and have no idea what its called) but when I test it doesn't seam to close at all. I followed the wires unplug them took reading with it not against metal nothing put it against metal nothing not sure if I'm doing it write.
CDI unit when cranking is only putting out 10 dcv Manual calls for 20 dcv
Coil cant seam to get ohms on primary or secondary side at all.
SO I know of all the problems with older units but this one is to have all updates. Is it possible the CDI and Coil is bad at same time? Hate to just start buying parts. I like to know about that magnetic ball. Thanks sorry for the winded message
