somethingfishy: isnt the drop on this hitch to much..Just wondering..Thanx for all the help everyone

Before I built my 2in. receiver hitch for my 700, I used a hitch similar to that and installed in "upside down" and actually gained ground clearance...Never had any issues....I've even seen trucks use a 3 or 4 inch drop hitch upside down to pull trailers...Just put the ball in from the other direction...I never had any problems doing that...

No issues even with a rear brush-guard. This picture has a little ice build-up on it but at -15 degrees I was too lazy to mess with cleaning it.
