does your key switch power come from ecu. if so check the pins on ecu connectors make sure they are all tight. push and pull on all wires for the ecu connector.then i would say you have a bad ecu.

i would take to a dealer and have them hook it to a computer and see if there is any codes before you go buy an ecu. you could have 1 bad sensor to cause this problem.

Default ecm

sure sounds like the ecm to me.call a dealership and give them your vin number and they can tell you if your ecm was recalled. I have seen ecm cause all kinds of trouble like yours.most every thing on your machine is powered through the ecm.

no ramman67 i havent ordered an ecm yet, i went to the dealership and they told me that it wasnt the ecm it was a wireing problem or the switch i told them i had already checked them, this knuckle head said i didnt know what i was doing and ''them e c m's dont go bad'' ,and i needed to bring it in and stay off the internet. i may have to junk it but it wont go to him ..so i thought i had better check everything before i order one ..this is a good clean machine and i have found nothing.. do you think the ecm is my problem

sounds like your dealer is a real pain. They are telling you wrong about the ecms they do go bad.The worst thing is theres no way to test the ecm.Polaris has you check everything else and if everything else is ok then the will tell you to change the ecm.Back on the starter selenoid post that the battery cable hooks to theres also a small wire that has a fuseable link in it make sure its not burnt in half.If i remember right the wire is red and the link maybe gray.I work at a dealership and we have had some trouble with ecms. I will check the wiring diagram for your machine there may also be a breaker switch in your wiring harness there inside a black plastic pouch usually. hope this helps.
