Default 2010 ranger crew vs. saltwater- update and question

I salvaged this ranger crew that sat in saltwater for a week on so. I replaced wiring harnass, clutch, and flushed diesil and motor oil through motor and tranny. Now it has correct fluids in it, so I'll run a few times and do a fresh oil change and be done.
One question is on the tranny I am having trouble getting fill plug out. I just filled through vent tube on top of case. Is this alright to do or should I figure out a way to get fill plug out?
It is running great. This is my first time messing with the clutch drive but I am impressed with the way it works. I replaced primary clutch because magnesium plate was half gone. Put spring and arms in new clutch but the original clutch had a spacer, that when I put it on new clutch, would only let clutch close halfway. So I took it out and it does perfect now. It does jump a little when it first engages. Is that normal?
Thanks in advanced for any help with questions. I have some pictures I can post just have to learn or remember how to post.
