Hi this is my first time to this site. I am planning on buying my first atv in another month or so and am just kind of shopping around. Right now I am thinking of getting a scrambler. I want an ATV that I can go fast when I want. go through mud, jump, or just ride how the area allows. we don't have any trails around here but I may go someplace and ride trails in the future don't know. I might use this to do some hunting once in awhile too or use when our snowmobile club cleans there trails. Right now I am leaning towards a 500 scrambler 4x4 but a friend of mine kind of has me thinking about a sportsman 500 HO. What are your comparison's of the two for the type of riding I wrote above. thanks for any advice.

If you want to go fast, get the scrambler. I have the Sportsman HO, great for what I want , but it is not a light and nimble machine. Go ride both or any other brand you might like, then make your decision.

If your going to play alot get the Scrambler and buy the racks for hunting but if you hunt you'll have to go for light stuff otherwise you'd have to get a Sportsman.
