Default Polaris Predator Help

Hi everyone, I'm new as you can see.

I was jsut searching for a good ATV forum and this one looked legit to me so I figured I'd try it out.

I recently aquired a 2003 Polaris Predator 500 in decent condition for $1800. (Will upload pictures upon request).
I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of upgrades (nothing specific) would make my Polaris any better. It's perfect as is, I just want something cheap to upgrade it's performance.

I will NOT be racing it, it's just for trails and fun.

Install a DynoJet kit on the carb--easier starting and smoother throttle response. Kit price is around $55, and an easy install. Well worth the $$.

Thanks man. I was thinking about getting a jet kit. I noticed that you have an '04 Predator. Did you intall a DynoJet kit in your's? Would you recommend doing the same to mine?

Installed the DynoJet Q518 kit on my Predator. Makes a nice difference: starts faster, idles smoother, and smoother throttle response. You can review the install instructions here: http://www.dynojet.com/pdf/Q518.pdf You receive a set of new jets, so you can balance the jetting to altitude of where you are currently riding, and you'll have them on hand if you install a new exhaust system. Even without the kit, just doing the mixture alteration (Stage 1, step 4) will make a notable difference.

Thanks again. That was very helpful! I'll definitely check into that.
