Default Snorkel Questions

I'm looking to finally finish snorkeling my 2000 Non H.O. 500, and i have seen the air box done with a single 2" line and dual 1.5". I'm wondering if anyone knows any pros or cons to either way? i would prefer to have a single hose but i've heard it will not be enough airflow. Anybody have first hand experience with this? Also any tips and tricks would be greatly appreciate such as hose type and where to find it.

Thanks,
Pous

I have a 1999 fully snorkeled with the rdc snorkel air box add on, I was told doing it with a single tube would cause the machine to run rich, and would have to be rejetted.

I am currently running a K&N air filter with a full DG exhaust with the factory jets. Would i end up having to rejet regardless due to the snorkles?

I also run a k&n with a full supertrapp system, dynojet told me they dont even offer a rejett kit for a 99 or 00 and any mods would have to be done by adjusting the carb in other ways. they also told me no matter what do not decreses the air flow.

Snorkeling an Old School Polaris How-To
This is the what I went by, instead of useing the hose from traingle atv, I use heavy duty shop vac hose, worked great.

Did you wrap the hose with anything for heat? Assuming you ran it somewhere near the engine

yes a silver heat tape you can buy at any hardwear store. If you use vacum hose, use the crush resistant heavy gage stuff, they cheap stuff tends to not stand up.
