Default AVT Insurance...

Let's face it, it is probbly a really good idea to insure your wheeler, but what a average rate to insure a quad these days??? I have full coverage with a $250 deductable and mine runs $235 a year... To me that seems a little high

Considering my 2011 Assault 800 cost just over $11k to replace and my insurance rate on that is $185 a year... I ride my sled in the winter and my sportsman XP in the summer. Honestly I put on way more miles on my sled as I do on the wheeler

I have a question for you guys... what's an avt?? I have looked all over progresive's website and can't find anything where they would provide coverage for an avt Just kiddin... I got a price one time from them for I think somewhere in the neighborhood of $75 for 6 months or maybe it was for a year I can't remember for sure how long or exactly what kind of coverage I had on it either, but if you're getting charged over $200 a year you might want to check into another company. Even with a $250 deductable that seems a bit high unless you have a horrable driving record or have had vehicles stolen before... just my

I pay $75 a year through progressive on my 07 sp 500 full coverage, $250 deductible and up to $3000 in coverage for accessories/aftermarket items. For ***** and giggles, I did check to see what a 2011 850 would run with the same coverage and it was around $250 a year, an 09 850 was considerably less but not super cheap. $100 something. Having an MC endorsement helps a little with rates as well.

Awful hard to compare insurance prices from state to state. Sometimes there can be big differences just based on location. Also ,there are optional coverages that some may or may not have such as medical, extra equipment coverage, uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage. The same atv in the same state could have a price difference of 70% just by these factors alone, even if they are both carrying comprehensive and collision. Also, if you have more than 1 atv you usually get a multivehicle discount as well...
