Default Polaris sportsman 800 clutching

Hey guys! Im new to this site. I have an 800 sportsman that is stock and i have ATV pulls coming up this weekend... Im wondering if there is anything that can be done to the clutching on this machine to make it pull harder?? What weights and springs could i put in the primary? The stock ones are 11-50.... would 52 be better with a stiffer spring? or would the secondary be a better option to play with? any info would be great thanks!

welcome to the forum. you running stock size tires? on my 08' i added a dalton orange/blue spring for better take off w/ my xtr 27" tires which worked good. w/ stock tires i could almost go over backwards if i wasn't paying attention. this spring raises the engagement rpm's up into a little more power area while maintaining the important top rpm's so it wasn't over reving and loosing HP.

white would raise engagement a lttle green would be more of a change, just remember whatever you gain on bottom you lose on top- Ive used the green on my old 700, gives it alot more on bottom but lost 5-8 mph on top

I'll be pulling a sled with weight in low range so I really only need my power in the low to mid powerband

i used a stock oem belt is best. the spring is the only thing i changed as the weights are fine form the factory. the 800's clutches are pretty good stock. if your using low range and you start changing springs to bring rpm's up them you are going to tack out really quick and not do a good pull. imo

I changed the stock spring for a Polaris white... It engages at 2000 or so and yes I'll be pulling in low but the tolerance is stiffer when fully compressed so she shouldn't hit the rev limiter imo... What do u think??
