'05 Scrambler Blowing Trans fluid out Vent
#1
2005 Scrambler 500 ho blows very expensive transmission fluid out the vent into the frame rail. I've owned the machine since it was new. It has been doing this for several years but I thought all the oil was from me over-lubricating the chain until I checked the fluid. I drained the oil into a washer fluid jug and only an ounce and a half came out. I went to the dealer and bought AGL fluid and filled the trans to the bottom of the threads just like the owners manual said. I go for another ride and fluid blows all over the place. I'm ready to pull the trans apart and start looking around for something but I thought i'd check here first. I'm an old member but havn't been on in several years and lost my password. Hopefully its something simple. Thanks!

Check seal behind the sprocket plus don't over look seal behind rear clutch backing plate for leaking.Plus have you used AGL since new or something else? Blowing out the vent usually a sign of too much fluid or the wrong type. OPT
