prospector track tension
#3
I've had tracks on 3 different machines and find the factory specs and ways of measuring "SUCK".
I've found the most efficient way of doing it is like this;
Hold the inside and outside of the track with your hands (in line with the center of the drive sprocket) and pull up. When properly set, it shouldn't lift more than 1/16". To double check, and fine tune the setting, pull the track sideways (back and forth) across the top of the drive sprocket. There should be resistance enough that it slides ok but not real easy.
This will get you close to the factory setting and make for fun riding.
Hope this helps.
