When I turn my AWD on the front tires don't spin until I have a lot of RPM's. For example, I was playing in the snow the other day. I had it in AWD. The rear wheels were throwing snow like mad but the fronts wouldn't kick in for some time.

Any ideas?

 

Have you changed the hub fluid lately? Could be a little thick if you haven't. OPT

I have not changed the hub fluid for quite some time. If I am not mistaken, the front gear case cannot be checked, but only changed. Once it warms up a little I will have to change it.

 

5 ounces in the front gear case Polaris Demand Drive gear fluid OR 80/90 GL5,although I usually was only able to get about 4 ounces to the bottom of the fill threads on most of em. Demand Drive hub fluid only in the hubs! OPT
