polaris 250 cooling

ya i know i shouldnt be but i have been useing some reg 2 cycle engine oil that i had laying around for my weed wacker on the last too tank ! could that be cuasing it? what brand and where would you buy good 2 stroke oil?

i used to use the polaris gold 2 cycle(synth) oil with good results. it is expensive, but as he mentioned it doesn't smoke nearly as much and does a good job. everyone has thier opinion i'm sure, but i think you get what you pay for in 2 cycle oil. the hotter an air cooled 2 stroke engine gets the more power it looses and can even cause damahe if it gets too hot while your beating on it. imo
