Default Painted my wheels this weekend w/ pics

My wheels were looking a little rough. So i decided to paint them.. I have always really liked Black satin wheels over chrome.
Materials:
  • Black satin caliper paint
  • Black self etching primer
  • acetone
  • simple green
  • painters tape
  • sanding paper and sanding wheel
First i washed the wheels, used simple green to get the dirt and grease off them.
Then i sanded them using a sanding wheel and a drill.. then some sand paper for the tough to get at spots.
after i washed them again with simple green, and then used the acetone.
Taped them off. Put 4 coats of primer and 3 coats of caliper paint. 1 can of caliper was just enough. Ill add some photos after they dry and are on the machine.

Good job! and the good part is if they get scratched up you can just spray them again!

nice job...would think they'd paint up fine as the calipers are steel...so steel wheels should be same same
