You can use a flat punch to break this slotted nut loose, plus if its the one I'm thinking about it's reverse threads! Lefty-tighty Righty-loosey. Plus when you reinstall it use blue loctite on the threads and you can stake it tight with a punch,THAT IS if you don't want to buy the slotted socket. OPT

All up and running but she did kill out at half throttle? Has maybe 15 miles on it and my daughter was driving and she just shut down about half mile from house. Ahead tried with key and it wouldn't start. Walked home got me and we went back and it wouldn't start for me with key and then i pull started it in 6 pulls with light throttle. Any suggestions?

IF you did install a new top end did you bleed the 10mm screw on the head? If not it can overheat and die.Just recheck compression, make sure you have fire from the coil, bleed head to remove air from cooling system (if you haven't done this), check that you have a good battery connections and try again.
