If its just revving up (like its in low gear) then look at the shifter and just follow it down its obviously not shifting into high gear..

I noticed when I was riding it in Sept last year it was hard getting it into high gear so I had an extensive conversation last night about if its getting into high or not low he said he can only get to about 20 so he knows he is getting into high he just had the belt replaced on it (as stated above) I am thinking its something with the clutches but the mechanic that looked at it when he took it to the shop said the clutches were good I think he needs a 2nd opinion

Ya i agree but you would think with the new belt it would atleast smoke if the clutch is bad? But ya i do agree if its in high gear forsure clutch is next..

Carbs can do some weird things. Is the plug soaked and what color is it? Im also concerned about your cdi not advancing timing when it revs up..
