Help!!

I have a nearly new, never been dunked, very little mud exposed 2000 P500.
Several miles out my temp light came on. In retrospect I don't remember hearing the fan ever come on. I drove slow and stopped several times coming out of the woods. The first stop I did not hear it boiling, but by the tim I finished the last mile it boiled over.

What usually fails this early.....thermister?, thermostat? or fan motor? The motor, after it cooled down starts, idles and seems to run ok.

Did I ruin it?........How can I tell if a major disaster is fixing to happen?

Any comments wouldbe appreciated.

Thanks

Hugh

First of all, if you have any warranty left take it into the dealer. If not blast any mud or debris out of the rad fins using a strong hose or pressure washer and do it every time you go out.
If it isnt plugged you probably have a thermostat problem.
Hope this helps.
