i have an 05 predator 500 ive had it for a long time and recently i have been trying to get this backfiring sitution solved but nothing has worked so far and i have a full system yoshimura exhaust, k&n airfliter, rev max, pro armor nerfbars and front bumper and i recently bought a dynojet carb kit i rejetted it using (dj175 & 170) but still backfiring and poppin plz help me!!! thank you

 

Welcome to the forum! Usually popping back is a lean condition(you can check the plug to see if it's lean) You can try raising the carb needle and see if it helps,plus at times the jets in the kits are still not rich enough. If you can find a dealer that stocks Mikuni jets you can get several sizes larger than the stock 110 main. DG marks their own jets and unless you have a jet gauge,hard to tell what the actual jet size is. Plus have you had the valve clearance checked? This is a shim under bucket system and bad about having to keep em checked regularly or they will tighten up and run like crap. OPT
