1998 Trailblazer 250 Tranny Oil?

I just picked up a 1998 Polaris TB 250 2x4 and its a little different than my old Scrambler 400 4x4.
Does it need AGL in the gear box? I couldn't find a drain plug but assume it is under the skidplate?
Is there a better tranny oil for this machine than AGL?
I emptied the 2-stroke oil and refilled, greased the zerts, and replaced the gas. Any other fluid I should change out for a machine that sat for a year or more?
THanks - Dave

19 mm( or 3/4") drain plug is on the right rear side of the gear case where the bash plate has a cut out. I would use AGL or any equivalent oil rated for chain driven gear cases. Since you drained the 2 stroke oil tank, make sure you bleed the 10 mm bleed screw on the oil pump to remove any trapped air. Just let the oil flow out and check for air bubbles then close the bleed screw. Not a bad idea to add a couple ounces oil to the tank, plus hold the oil pump lever up all the way when you first crank it up to speed up getting oil to the cylinder. OPT
