You can always just apply 12 volts directly to the fan itself to see if it works. Does show a thermal sensor also that could be faulty. Plus you have an ecm module that could be at fault. Look here under "electrical sensors" under your model. http://parts.polarisind.com/Browse/Browse.asp

Just unplug the two fan wire and jump it to a 12v DC source. Don't worry about + or - that just changes the fan direction.

If you need a fan go to "Spal.com" its much cheaper then the dealership.

The Polaris dealer wanted $320 Canadian and I got a new fan off Ebay for $65. Spal wanted $89.

Ok so i put 12 volts to the fan and it doesnt come on, I ride a lot in deep water so im assuming the water got to it and it sounded pretty loud and bad the last time i heard it. Im looking on ebay for a new fan but they say the only fit scramblers 01-03 is there any difference in a 08 fan the plugs on the ones on ebay look the same as mine can i use one of those fans?
