Leave it unplugged as all the reverse limiters fail sooner or later! You'll have full power in reverse and also awd without having to push the over ride button. No sense replacing a $70 module only to have it fail again. That's what I did at the shop on about 99% of the machines with the owners approval. Just a Polaris safety device that would fail!

Pop the front panel to make sure the two small connectors leading to each wheel are connected. Small gray and brown wires. The awd switch when on and in gear has to light up to receive power from the shift box gear selector switch and then completes the circuit to the awd wiring. There is also a small bulb if burnt out in the awd switch, will break the circuit also. http://www.cyclepartswarehouse.com/f...1996&fveh=5419

Just make sure the awd switch lights up when you place it in reverse. If it doesn't it could be a gear position switch problem in the shift box. Also replace the dash indicator bulbs,so you know what's happening. Item #2. http://www.cyclepartswarehouse.com/f...1996&fveh=5419
