i have been googling about this modification, although the search results have been vaque so far
i say just put a k+n filter on the intake tube near the end

 

Why?? If you're talking about joining the two together all you'd be doing is allowing hot, dusty clutch air into the cold air intake.I've see all kinks of snorkel setups at the shop,but each have been separate,for good reason.

 

just an idea i was having
i intend to run a isolated tube up to the front using flexible pvc tubing wrapped with header tape around the tube before and after the cylinder head
