Default 2000 Polaris Scrambler 500 4X4

I just bought this and took it out this last weekend ! This ATV was a blast however I had one issue.

When I would be ridding it would fall out of gear and into neutral, this happened a few times and then after a few hours it would not stay in gear, as soon as I pressed the gas it would slip out. I then had to put it in reverse and then put it in gear and it would stay for the most part. Not sure if it is just an adjustment or something wrong.

Any advice would be great ! And also if you know of any issues or things to work on would be great!

Thank you proud now owner of a Polaris Scrambler

Shane

Make sure the belcrank on the transmission is tight and in neutral make sure the shift lever is center of the shift slot. If not you can adjust the linkage ends to where it is. If there is a lot of slack on the shifter the linkage ends may need replacing.Hopefully this is all that's needed.http://www.cyclepartswarehouse.com/f...2000&fveh=5498

Thank you and thanks for always being so helpful. I am quite new to ridding and it is very nice to have this forum to turn to! I will give that a try, thanks again!
