Default 400 2 cyl. 1998 polaris

what is the best way and side to change spark plug..1998 400 2 cycle polaris ...ran fine when put away 2 wks ago now acts like not getting any spark..what else to check..

Easiest if you still have the L angle plug wrench that came in the tool kit. If not,a 13/16 box wrench. Just to make sure,ground the new plug to the head and see if you have spark. If still doesn't want to run,hold the throttle wide open while cranking.May have a crank case full of gas and may take a bit to crank up. If this still doesn't help,may be needing a carb clean.

old polaris tech..back to running good..maybe flooded bad..kept cranking off and on,till it fired a little each time..thanks for the help..

On these old 2 strokes try to remember to turn the fuel valve off when through riding. A slightly worn needle and seat/high float level can cause fuel to drip into the crankcase,foul plugs on start up,etc. A lot of it's just the angle of the carb to the cylinder.Wouldn't forget about a carb kit if it happens again.
