2001 Polaris Magnum 325 no AWD
#1
This has been an intermittent problem with awd working and not working, and when you put it in reverse it would cut off unless you used the override button...bought and put on a new rev limiter, now it goes into reverse without having to use the override button but when you use the throttle it goes flat out in reverse like the limiter is not working...and still no awd and no awd light either...any suggestions???

"Pre 2003 and almost all models that do NOT have the combined override/Speedo function button.
Trace wires from the override button (gray/white & gray/orange) Cut the gray/orange and tape up both ends. Cut the gray/white and tape up the end which goes to the override button. Connect the other end of the gray/white to the red/white (ignition supplied 12v)"

ok, thanks so much for the video...gonna try it and get back to...the problem with the reverse and the bike shutting off was also in regular reverse without using the awd...thought the rev limiter would fix that. The reverse problem wasn't that big a deal, but I NEED the awd to work!!

Problem with the reverse limiters was that when they started shorting out they could cause the machine to die when you placed it in gear, either reverse or forward or they would work ok in reverse, but would cause limiting in forward range. Some wouldn't die if you held the over ride button down before you shifted into reverse! Just a sorry attempt by Polaris for a safety in reverse that no other quad had.Hope one of the two methods help on getting the awd to work.
