Sounds like a loose cam chain or valve lifter noise. When's the last time you had the valves adjusted? Needs to be done same as the Outlaw I believe, manual says every 15 hrs or 6 months.15 hrs usually comes way before 6 months for most people.

Best to have it checked out before any thing major does happen other than what it's doing now. If it's the valves, best to let a dealer do it because of all the shims involved, plus you can always pull the valve cover and feel if the cam chain is tight yourself.http://www.cyclepartswarehouse.com/f...2004&fveh=5648

Cheaper for this service(from most good dealers) if this is the problem rather than you having to buy a box of shims that cost several hundred dollars and doing it yourself. They should be able to tell real quick if this is the problem or if it's something else.

Look at the link above that I posted on the parts break down and all the different sizes of shims. 30 different size shims that you have to have as you don't know what size each valve will take to bring it to with in clearance specs. Most dealers sets come with 4 each of all the sizes. You can find them on Ebay now for about 75 bucks which is usually what the dealers charge for adjusting the valves. The choice is yours whether you want to get them..
