Default 01 scrambler 50 falls on face

I bought a used 50 scrambler that wasn't running, it sat for a while. I put good gas in it cleaned the carb and got it running. We rode it around our lot and it seems that at 1/4 to 1/2 throttle it runs alright. anything past that it would die out like it was starving for fuel. It then started leaking fuel from the overflow like the float was stuck, so I replaced the carb with a new one. The machine seemed to run a little better but still cant get it full throttle without it dying out. 1/4 to 1/2 it runs good I'm lost on this one any suggestions?

After researching the w.w.w. this seems to be a common problem with no real solution

Compression in the manual shows a minimum of 115 psi needed to run properly, plus leaking crank seals, cracked reeds, or an electrical break down from the stator or coil can be causing the problem. Here's a link to a 2001 Scrambler 50 pdf manual that has a good trouble shooting guide along with electrical specs on the stator and coil to help you eliminate and hopefully find the problem.http://gh-ftp.com/ORV%20Manuals/Pola...0%20-%20SM.pdf
Plus feel the exhaust pressure while the rear end is off the ground and wide open throttle. If exhaust flow feels weak, had a few that over a period of time would have partially stopped up exhaust pipes from build up of oil/carbon. If this is the case you can remove it and soak it in kerosene, naptha, etc and blow it out OR just take a long bent punch to fit up into the tail pipe, drive it in and open it up.Makes some of these little ones come alive after that.
