After installing the kokusan upgrade kit ever so often my quad completely dies, hud display goes out but fan still runs fine so I know it's not losing battery connection, after a few seconds I switch it off then switch back on the display comes on and it fires right up until it does it again I changed the left handle bar switch (no change) etc switch I know for a fact is not the problem what else could it be ?

Check the ground at the stator and at the main grounding point on the frame. Plus not uncommon for ignition switch wiring to short out, plus follow this connector and wiring under the front panel as this is where most shorts happen from all the twisting and turning.

Checked all my grounds firewall is free of paint, it's still doing it, runs fine for two minutes at the most cuts off,so I switch it off ,sit a while then switch on Speedo comes on and fires up and does it all over again.

Then check the two 20 amp circuit breakers.Sounds like it's either weak and getting hot and tripping or bad connections. One up from the battery is the main breaker, one under the front panel is for the fan,but either one can short out in the pouch or have corroded connections and kick off cutting power to the machine.

yep those resettable fuses corrode when the pouches get water in them and you'll have issues like yours or the headlights and the pod blinking and the pod...

depends on what problems you're having, one controls the POD/lights and the other controls the Fan and I believe the Thermal sensor. There is a 3rd one too, don't remember what for... Starter/solinoid???

There has been problems with the wiring rubbing thru as well as the plug wires. Make sure everything is coated with dielectric grease.

Everything is coated except the plugs It didn't do this until I installed the new kit, but I reckon it still wouldn't hurt to still change it but could you tell me which breaker runs to the pod
