I was told when the cluster odom/tac is not screwed down and seated properly it wont run either. Like i said im not with the atv so just getting info over the phone. Sounds to me its a loose wire or bad connection somewhere. Thnx again

Problem appears to be in the gray connector. What would cause the stalling in that connector??

First thing I'd have him check the throttle cable for too much slack. If the internal etc contacts touch it will die,but will run ok when throttle is applied.Must not have more than 1/8" slack at the throttle lever. After the throttle adjustment is made he may have to adjust the idle on the carb also to maintain a good idle.Sounds like he's been messing with the cable or it's just stretched over time.

He checked the cable and said it seemed ok. Hes probably gonna bring it to the dealer in his area because hes not very mechanical and doesnt want to screw it up. Thnx for the help thou

Can't count how many I adjusted on trailers and in the back of pick ups over the years for this.A lot people just don't read their owners manuals.
