2007 500EFI X2 dead. Help OPT

Don't overlook a battery even if voltage appears good. Loose connections,dead/sulfated cell in the battery can cause problems.Load testing would eliminate it as a problem.Unless you want to place it on Digital Wrench to remove any doubts of what may be frying the pdm(either a stator, ecu, or other wiring shorts),I'd suspect another pdm module failure.Pdm controls too many things, has too many circuit breakers that can fail.Same thing on ecm modules on the carb models.

On a faulty pdm or ecu module, yes Digital Wrench can spot it! If it's a wiring short, may be harder but can help track down the general area better than just throwing parts at it.Only so much you can do on efi machines at home with a meter. Home diagnostic scanners are starting to be available, but still too expensive for the average owner for a one time use.
