Yeap, we have some updates...we're still talking about it, but here are some days that shouldn't change anymore.
Arrival at SL on thursday 10 may during the day, probably. We'll stay until saturday. We'll leave SL on saturday (after the day of riding, of course), and head to the Badlands to start riding there on sunday. We'll stay in the Badlands sunday , monday, and maybe tuesday 15 (if it's cool). Then we'll head up north back to montreal (by the US -ohio,indiana,PA,?,?,NY), stopping at Wayne National Forest, Haspen, any cool mx tracks on the way.

It will be a blast! Can't wait to see the dunes then hit the Badlands and Haspin acres!!!

Who will be there and who could ride the other places with us?? The more the merrier!

Let me just make one suggestion to your agenda. Plan at least two days of riding at Wayne National Forest. It has some great riding and you will not cover it all in one day. Let me know if you need directions from the badlands and I will round some up for you. Also, let me know if you need any information about Wayne.

In my opinion, I would only schedule a day for the badlands. Silver Lake and trail riding in the little manistee(starting in Baldwin), is much more enjoyable.

Just my humble opinion,

Rainman

Magnum, We are planning on Wayne National Forest too...just forgot to mention it. What kind of riding is it there?

Rainmain, Why only one day at the Badlands? Where is little manistee? What kind of riding?

Thanks guys.

Magnum, I just took a peek at your pics...wow! That looks like a great place to ride. It reminds me of the woods my camp is at. You seem to have taken a lot of "ride breaks"...hehe

Xplor

Wayne National forest has some great riding. The forest is actually old coal mining and oil drilling ground, so many of the trails were originally built for oil lines and coal roads. It has a combination of some open trails, tight woods trails, and some hill climbs. For the most part, the trails aren't real muddy, but some places can get muddy if the area gets some good rain. Sounds like you will be riding during the week. You will almost have the trails to yourself. Not that the weekends get so crowded that you cannot enjoy yourself, you just have to be more careful. I would like to come along to show you around, but that is a busy time of year here at work and vacation is not an option. Check out the Wayne National forest website at http://www.fs.fed.us./r9/wayne/. Hope this helps.

PS. In those pictures, we were taking so many ride breaks because of the chain smokers who were riding with us
