1996 Polaris Magnum 425 4x4 that needed repaired
#11
Ok got the kit and parts and rebuilt the carb and this time it was running lean. Put the 155 main in that came with the kit and it ran a lot better. Pulled the eclip on the needle 2 richer and now it runs great. As far the parking brake, Just took some filing to make it work. Thanks for all your help.

Carb kits generally cure most problems, but still some changes may be needed in jetting, jet needle position, etc to compensate for altitude, temperature and overall condition of the engine.Nothing written in stone on carb repairs. That's the advantage efi has over carbs, when they work right. Shouldn't have to go back into the carb for a good long while. Plus using a good stabilizer can help keep it that way. Good luck with the atv.
