I just had the races replaced in both my struts at the dealer------Holy Moly! I went in to pick them up thinking maybe 75 or a 100 bucks. NO, they wanted close to 300 dollars. I flat told em I wasn't paying that much (I was pissed). That's just the 2 races, no bearings come with. I think he finally downed his shop hours and it was still a bit over 200 but he showed me how much those races are from Polaris----aint cheap!

I know it's too late now,but you could have matched up the universal number on the bearings that come with the races at most auto stores.Polaris prices them separately.. Plus always replace the bearings with the races!! Here's the price per bearing(2 each needed) in the hub and strut just using Polaris part numbers.Polaris 3554506, ATV Parts Cross-Referencing Polaris 3554509, ATV Parts Cross-Referencing Plus a cheap bearing installer from Harbor freight, etc could be used to set the new races(just knock the old ones out with a chisel) NOT defending the dealer, but they pay crazy prices from Polaris to stock oem parts! Add their mark up and there you are. Plus labor costs now close to 100 bucks an hr at a lot of shops and that adds up quickly. The more you learn to do yourself, the more you can save. That why I stress service manuals as much as I do.They can save you more money than you can imagine..
