Big Chinese company. Seems they they make parts for everything from cars to lawn mowers. Looked on their site and they even have parts for my Cub Cadet riding mower. Going to keep them in mind if I need anything.. https://www.caltric.com/

I put a set on my wife's 2010 Ford Escape. They worked. Dusting wasn't too bad. Biggest complaint would be the brake "groan" when you came to a slow stop, or when you were at a stop, then rolled a few feet to stop again.

Doubt you'd get that from an atv though.

I have there pads in my 04 sportsman 400.I just used the backing shims that were on the original polaris pads. No problems at all noticeable to me.They look just like the factory pads but came with no backing plates that pop on the pads.I think i payed about 13 bucks for the fronts and the right rear pads.I just used some made in china wheel bearings to.Not stuff i really like to use but you have to mix it up and save money here and there when you do a lot of work to one of these things.I will say i inspect all this stuff real close and it seemed to be made well.

My dads 500 Sportsman had no EBS and went through pads more then we liked. We switch to EBC Severe Duty ,they seem to last longer then the OEM from Polaris.
SV Series Severe Duty Pads - EBC Brakes
High density sintered copper alloy for longest possible life in utility applications on ATV, especially in wet, mud, dust and dirt conditions.
I don't think sintered is a gimmick What is sintering? - EBC Brakes

If I could find ebc at a good price, I would buy them. But so far, looking at $75 + for front/ rear.

Yes EBC aren't cheap, but they do usually last longer and stop better imo than oem pads. We stocked the most commonly used front and rear EBC pads as a lot of different machines over the years used the same pads. Newer cycles are beginning to show up from the factory with them, possibly even some atvs now.

To save cost you could just by single rear EBC since we found the twin front set of pads lasted longer then the single rear.
We guessed its because the front has two sets stopping the front and the single rear is doing double the work.

You have a 2012 so is the rear not in a oil bath on the newer ones?

Thanks. The rear still is a single disc, wish they were oil bath.

My buddy has the caltric pads and he has no problems so far, yet I'm still doubtful about their longevity.
