Let me start off by saying thank you OPT for the manual link, could not have gotten this far without it. Got to work on the magnum and sure enough the exhaust lobe on the cam is completely gone. The exhaust rocker is also worn so just going to replace cam and all rockers since I have it apart. I found a site on ebay called advantagepart and he has a cam and all the rockers for a good price was wondering if anyone has experience with this seller.

Yes I've seen their adds along with Cru and Niche aftermarket cams. Haven't heard anything bad about them. Polaris Magnum 425 2x4 4x4 6x6 Cam Shaft Camshaft Rocker Arm Arms 1995 1998 | eBay

Well while I'm waiting for my parts to arrive there is a wiring harness coming from the gear selector with 4 wires grey/white,green/white, red/white and purple. When I took the selector off the red/white wire fell out of the harness cut. My question is what is this wire for, I couldn't find it in the schematic.
Thanks for any help.

Main wire that's powered up with ignition on. Shows it better in the later manuals on the shift box.Branches off and ties into the circuit board.

Thank you OPT, I'll splice it back together. Got the gasket kit today just waiting on the cam and rockers. All of the torque specs are not in the manual either, it didn't have the valve cover or the cam sprocket cover. Just go till they're snug?

They can't give specs for every bolt and nut or the manuals would weigh 10 pounds! They give the critical torque specs and sequence on fasteners for assemblies that really matter, but look in the engine torque section and also each break down chapter as they give "general" torque specs for the most common bolt sizes used.Or as most techs say which is the same as what you have said,"snug".

I get that but I figured if it had a gasket it had a spec. Parts came in and starting the reassembly, the new cam has more lube holes which is good.
Would post pics if I knew how. Here we go.

Right now I'm wondering who thought it would be a good idea to put a square head adjusment screw on the rocker arm.
Exhaust and intake is .006 correct?
