after 3 years of working on the machine i finally found something that worked and i actually like my scrambler. hpd trail port, big bore piston, 12-1 head, new vforce reeds, 39 kehin, lightened fly wheel, hpd roller secondary, reed spacer, no air box. this machine rocks, it will finally pick the front end up with no problems, will spin the tires at almost all throttle positions. its finally ajoy to ride just hope it holds together now. clutching is 50.8 gram weights, red polaris primary, violet secondary set at 14lbs. it runs at 7015 rpms and holds it well. it tears up hills

Spinning is just that "spinning". It does not move you forward. What you really want is smoothness with acceleration and not crazy spinning of the wheels. Wild uncontrollable equipment is a handful and quite honestly not too fast. You will get to the point of working on the suspension, extending swingarm, exact clutching techniques, etc. Then, you will eventually become quick and fast. It takes time.

Jack, I am going to try it out even more in the next couple weeks. I wanted the extra wheel spin for climbing dunes and sliding around corners. It used to just bite everywhere and I noticed the lack of wheelspin. Do I have too much now?? Maybe. It doesn't seem to want to wheelie as easy now either. I may try and find a stock, used flywheel and switch it to see the difference.
