Please help!

I have a 04 Polaris predator 500 and I just put a new battery in it and now for some reason when ever I start it after a few seconds of idling it just shuts off any ideas?

Have you check valve lash lately? Needs to be check/adjusted every 15-20 hrs on these machines. Does it still have spark when it dies? If it does I'd heard for fuel delivery problem or a problem in the carb first.
