2003 Sportsman HO 500 - rear break bleeder screw stuck
I can't get this thing out, scared to snap it off. Any ideas? I right now no rear breaks until I can lead it.
Thanks, -Jason |
An easy out or a set of screw extractors. Best to use a little heat and even some PB Blaster on rusted screws and bolts. Drill a pilot hole and use the easy out.Just have to take your time.

Put a little pressure on the wrench then give the bleeder a whack with a hammer.

And use a 6 point socket to bleed it....do not use a wrench.....:)

Thanks guys for the help! Were is the best place for me to go to buy a new one to replace this rusted one?

Any auto store should have them. Don't hold me to it,but believe 1/4-28 is the size. If in doubt take one that's easy to get out and match it up.

Most hardware stores have them.
