Default Polaris OEM Front Storage Rack install (SP570)

All I thought some may benefit from my install project yesterday. The newer type front storage rack does have some subtle differences from older Sportsman Front Storage Rack which was powdered coated and some different mounting design details.

Follow instructions disassemble the side bars from lid by removing screws and locking nuts. Drill a few front holes through the lid (factory mark by circles). TIP: Take off Lid by disconnecting 2 Cables by unscrewing from lid and loosening front hinge , lid will slide out to make easier for drilling the 2 marked locations.

Didn't it come standard with front storage? Or does this kit make it deeper by using a higher lid/rack assembly? Just curious. If things work out I may go back to Polaris at some point. Son's 1000 has me salivating. If it doesn't work out that's fine too.

I never haul anything on the front rack but if I did I'd get a rack extender. That one looks really good.

When I had the X2 I got the rack extenders. Worked perfectly with a Polaris semi-structured bag.
