Default Headlight Replacement Bulbs

2001 Polaris Sportsman 400. Has two rectangular headlights then the large headlight in the caul. The bulbs are burnt in the rectangular ones, still 12v coming in, so I know the wiring and switch are good. Where would I find these replacement bulbs?

Give ebay a shot, you will probably find them there. If not, partzilla will have them.

You might try an area auto supply on this Polaris 4030059 bulb. Was hard to find an after market replacement a few years back, but things may have changed. Plus you might be able to find a replacement a little more powerful than this 27 watt bulb.

Remember not to touch the bulbs with your bare hands when you put them in. They burn out faster if you get fingerprints on them.

Sheesh, these crappy bulbs are like $30 a piece.

I can get a whole new set of lights (fixtures and all) for less than that....
Amazon, the whole set is like $18

I thought they were halogen bulbs but I could be wrong. It's a long time since I looked at one. I'd wear clean gloves just to be safe. That's what I did when I replaced the DRL bulbs on my truck last week. Better safe than sorry if you aren't sure.

Those led's are the way to go. Got a 20" with wiring/switch kit on ebay for under $50!

I would go with some good atv led light bar either for better light output and focus, especially for night riding.
