I was at a Boat show and came across this in the parking lot.

Polaris Slingshot : 3-Wheel Motorcycle - Reverse Trike Introduced in 2014 as a 2015 model. Texas wouldn't allow them at first saying they were a car.. Beginning to see a few now and then on the roads. Whether they're legal or not down here,if they have the dispute settled ? Argument that they had was was that for it to be a cycle you had to sit on it,not in it.. Rode in one at the shop and has a nifty little 4 banger GM engine.

Some kind of side by side version of the Can-Am Spider.

Looks like the Polaris Slingshot. I think they came out around Feb of 2015.

X3 It's a Slingshot. Not quite as motorcycle-like as the Can-Am Spyder. More of a lightweight 3 wheel car to me.

That's a Slingshot for sure. I'd rather have a Can-am Spyder instead though. I just think riding the Slingshot would feel like driving a convertible. The Spyder would feel like riding a quad on the street I think with the 2 wheels up front. I'd have a Spyder if they weren't so expensive even used. I like how you can get the ES push button shifting on the Spyder too. The new Spyders have more power with a new 1300cc triple vs the old 1000cc v twin.

Problem with both of em is I'd like to stay dry if it started raining. If money wasn't an obstacle, which it always is.. I'd like the devil out of this concept trike.

Slingshot and can am 3 wheel trikes, ah the fine line between motorcycle and automobile
Add a 4th wheel and no way would it be allowed on street
But our Rzzzzzzzzzzr's oh heck no we can have those on the road!
Its that 4th tire, makes it an auto = airbags, crash bumpers, side impact beams, safety regulations up the wahzoo!

Go Polaris! Make some more cool sh*%!!

Supposedly coming out with a top for them and they corner like nobody's business. MN just passed a law so you only need a valid DL to drive one now instead of having a motorcycle endorsement.

Certainly don't have to worry about rolling a Slingshot over. Getting over speed bumps?????
