Default 02 700 sportsman overheating

700 sportsman is overheating.
I have replaced all of the tubing from engine to radiator and cap.
New thermostat.
check temp sensor in boiling water and closes around 190F. Also check fan and it runs on 12v and all connections.

Problem seems that the side of the radiator that has the temp sensor is not getting any fluid flow.
The side with the intake/exhaust hoses will heat up and can barely touch it.
But the other side is still room temp. So I'm sure this is why the fan is not coming on.
The bike had hit something up front before I got it and the Rad is slightly bent, but no leaks, etc...

Anyone know the cause of this? Could it be a clogged radiator from damage or possibly the hoses going back to the fill cap in the wrong location?
- over flow bottle vent is the top.
- Rad vent is middle
- engine is lowest one.

I'm a little lost on this one.

thanks

Lots of twists and turns on this system.Sounds like you have the hoses correct, plus the thermostat usually lasts the life of the machine. Don't overlook a cheap 13 psi radiator cap or the plastic filler nozzle than can have hairline cracks and cause problems. If jacking up the machine to remove any trapped air doesn't help, then I'd pressure test the system. And yes a damaged radiator can cause problems.

well, woke up this morning and jacked the thing up and ran through the burp process..
working like a champ now.
took a while, pumping the hoses, running the bike, letting it sit... but finally got good flow from the vent tube from the rad to the Fill hose. Once this started flowing the complete Rad got hot and fan kicked on.

thanks for you help.

If the ATV is boiling over and the bottom rad hose is not war and firm but soft and cool then you have a air lock.
