Default 05 sportsman 500 ho cv axle

after my ride yesterday did the post ride inspection and heard a "clacking" from the left rear upon inspection I found the inner boot torn.I am guessing the noise means I already killed the axle.Who makes good replacment parts.Looked on ebay and saw them for about 100 shipped.Who is a good vendor to buy from?TIA

May be able to save it with a good cleaning and greasing and a new boot. If you just want to replace it with an oem equivalent drive shaft and not leaning towards replacing both with a Rino or Gorilla type,Sixity has has some good reports.2005 Polaris 500 Sportsman 4X4 Rear Left ATV Axles Back Driver Side Complete CV | Sixity.com

imo chances are if you are hearing the noise of clicking then its too far gone to replace. i've clean a lot of then and re greased and new boot to no avail. gorilla makes a stronger replacement.

First batch are guaranteed to be Chinese and possibly the second listing also.Even Sixity is probably made in China.Doesn't really matter as oem is probably Chinese now also the way things are going. Both are probably good for replacement use and you may get a few good years out of them.If you are hard on them, play in the mud, etc, Rino or Gorilla but you pay the price for these heavier duty drive shafts plus they need to be replaced in pairs.

just keep an eye on your boots after playing or any ride to make sure they didn't get a hole in them as any water/dirt in their can take them out really quickly.

not ready to step up to Rhino or gorilla yet wife may end up with this bike and I may end up with a new one! Plus by replacing both I will still have a spare OEM to carry for emergency.
