Default polaris express 300

Okay so my husbands atv worked fine until we took it to the reapair shop to have a new stator put in. We got it back and went to ride last weekend. Since we have got this atv it never worked in reverse, but when we went to drive it last weekend we put it both in high and low gears and the atv went backwards. When we put the atv in reverse it did nothing. Im stuck what can we do to fix this?

Sounds like someone hooked the linkage arms up backwards to the shift box levers.

Just a matter of swapping the linkage ends to the opposite shift box slides. Hopefully that's what they did..

Sorry for all the questions, do you know if the linkage is up by the shifter? I live in a smaller town and there is nobody willing to look at this. Besides the guy who screwed it up.

Look at the thumb nail pic. All you do is transfer the left linkage at the shift box lever over to the right side, right side to the left shift box lever. Just (2) 10mm nuts at the bottom of the linkage ends that you remove and pull the linkage arms up from the shift levers and swap them around.
