75 or 80/90 for the front diff only! Either Polaris AGL ,Amsoil gear case fluid or a good quality gear case lube for the transmission.. Can't remember if the 03 has the awd indicator in the speedo or just the light on the switch. Either way you should be able to tell once you jump the brown/white to the brown wire. This should complete the circuit if there was a ground problem and either the speedo indicator or switch should light up when placed in awd mode.

 

Yes that's what I'm confused about, there is no light next to the switch, and also there is no indicator on the Speedo. I posted the picture above which shows all the indicators. Ok. I'll just use AGL

 

Just looked at the control switch. There is a small bulb that lights up the right side of the switch when in awd mode...

 

ok nevermind, I'm an idiot. I was looking for the separate light like the one I the video, mine actually the AWD letters light up, but it is still not going on everytime I flip the switch, is this the switch ir should I do the wire splicing anyway like in the video?

 

Intermittent operation of the light is more than likely a grounding problem going through the speedo. Just do the wire jumping and hopefully the light will be constant.
